Our Story

Rooted in Faith, Growing Together

Indian Springs Church has been a cornerstone of the Glen, Mississippi community for generations. What began as a small gathering of faithful believers has grown into a vibrant church family united by our love for God and one another.

We are a church with Methodist roots. However, we are now an independent church. As such, we can move forward, while honoring our roots, and seek God's perfect will for us. We are free to completely follow God's leading in how we worship, serve, and grow together. First and foremost, we hold fast to the timeless truths of Scripture.

Our church is more than buildings—it's a family. From our youngest members to our elders, everyone has a place here. We celebrate life's joys together, support each other through trials, and encourage one another in faith.

What We Believe

Our Core Beliefs

The Authority of Scripture

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God — the final authority for all matters of faith and daily living. Every word is God-breathed and profitable for doctrine, correction, and instruction in righteousness.

The Holy Trinity

We believe in one God eternally existing in three distinct Persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — equal in nature, power, and glory. God is Creator, Sustainer, and Lord of all things.

Salvation by Grace Through Faith

We believe all people have sinned and fall short of God's glory. Salvation is not earned by works but is a free gift of God's grace received through faith in Jesus Christ — His death, burial, and resurrection — alone.

The Person of Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man — born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross as payment for our sins, rose bodily from the dead on the third day, and ascended to the right hand of the Father where He intercedes for us.

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, indwells every believer at the moment of salvation, empowers us for righteous living, and guides us into all truth. He is our Comforter and seal of redemption.

The Church & Fellowship

We believe the local church is a gathering of born-again believers called to worship God, preach the Gospel, administer baptism and the Lord's Supper, and bear one another's burdens in love and accountability.

Resurrection & Eternal Life

We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost. Those who trust in Christ will spend eternity with God in heaven. Those who reject Him will face eternal separation from God. This hope shapes how we live and share our faith.

The Great Commission

We believe every follower of Christ is called to make disciples of all nations — sharing the Gospel, baptizing new believers, and teaching them to obey all that Christ commanded. Mission is not optional; it is the heartbeat of the Church.

Our Leadership

A Word From Our Pastor

What a privilege to serve the Lord at Indian Springs Church. I got radically saved July 7, 1991 in a small church in Wichita, KS. I was on a "Saul" path and God turned my journey into a "Paul" path (see Acts 9 to learn more about Saul/Paul). After my conversion, I was wholeheartedly steadfast in my pursuit of Him. Reading, praying, attending services, jail ministry, staying away from my old vices, etc.

Something strange occurred though. I started putting my Pastor and the leaders on a pedestal and when I was able to gain access to that inner circle, my world collapsed. They weren't the people that they portrayed on Sunday. I left that church and, unfortunately, spent the remainder of my 20's and half of my 30's sort of wandering from church to church, looking for something I couldn't find. God was still with me, guiding me, protecting me, encouraging me...but I was like a ship in a storm at the mercy of the waves.

I moved to Corinth in 2007 and met my soon to be wife, Samantha. God has really used her as an anchor for me. I met her while attending my Uncle's church. Things were going well, God blessed us with our daughter, life was good. Then, my Uncle passed away suddenly and the congregation all went our separate ways. We tried to sustain the ministry but it would never be the same without my Uncle in the pulpit.

Fast forward, my parents start attending Indian Springs. My wife and I would visit occasionally but wouldn't commit as my parents had. My Dad passed away in July 2020 and this is the mechanism that God used to get my attention. I was sad, angry, lost and God used this to pull me back to Him.

Shortly thereafter, we began attending regularly. I served in the audio/visual department, then started teaching Teen Sunday School all while not realizing that God was using these steps to guide me into ministry. After Indian Springs left the United Methodist Church, we needed a Pastor. In what I will call a supernatural two week period, the Spirit of God wouldn't leave me alone! God made it clear to me that He was asking me to step up and I finally told Him, "Yes Lord, I yield."

Because I was the most qualified? No. Because I had a proven track record? Also no. He simply chose me. Me? Why me? Here we are over two years later and I cannot imagine doing anything else. I spend my days in His word and I get the honor of sharing His word with others. The life that I never wanted is now the life I can't imagine living without.
